Medical genetic analysis

A genetic analysis via a mouth swab can provide indications of individual predispositions and support personal prevention.

Genetic analyses serve prevention and early detection. An analysis of relevant genes can provide indications of individual predispositions and thus help to take suitable preventive measures early on. It provides indications of predispositions, not diagnoses.

The sample is taken via a mouth swab and sent to a laboratory, which examines the gene variants known to play a role in individual risks. From the results, conclusions can be drawn about which measures regarding antioxidant intake and general nutrition may be useful. After the analysis, the results are summarised in a clear written report with concrete recommendations for effective prevention.

The sample taken is examined for risks across a wide range of health areas:

  • Nutrition — individual strengths and weaknesses in metabolising various nutrients
  • Weight loss — the influence of genes on body weight and weight reduction
  • Alzheimer's analysis — individual risk of developing Alzheimer's
  • Macular degeneration analysis
  • Breast health analysis — individual risk of developing breast cancer
  • Gluten analysis — increased risk of gluten intolerance
  • Iron analysis — risk of excess iron (haemochromatosis)
  • Joint analysis — increased risk of inflammatory joint diseases
  • Lactose analysis — whether lactose intolerance is present
  • Prostate health — risk of developing prostate cancer
  • Bowel health — individual bowel-cancer risk
  • Depression analysis
  • Lung health — individual lung-cancer risk
  • Skin analysis — individual risk of skin cancer
  • Medication analysis — for which medicines side effects are likely
  • Cardiovascular/blood-pressure analysis — cardiovascular disease and raised blood pressure
  • Thrombosis analysis — increased thrombosis risk
  • Diabetes analysis — risk of developing diabetes
  • Osteoporosis analysis — risk of osteoporosis
  • Toxo analysis — neutralising pollutants and optimising detoxification

A complete analysis of the areas listed above is offered — individual analyses are not possible. A detailed consultation before and after the analysis is part of the process.
