Private practice & fees
As a private physician (Wahlärztin) I bill you directly — in return I deliberately take time for personal care. You receive part of the fee back from your health insurer.
What does “private physician” mean?
I do not have a public-insurance contract. You pay the fee directly and receive an invoice. You can submit this invoice to your statutory health insurer, which reimburses part of the costs.
Your advantages
- More time for personal, individual care
- Individual diagnostics and therapy planning
- Modern preventive medicine
- A holistic treatment approach
- Flexible scheduling
Reimbursement
The statutory health insurer usually reimburses a share of the public-insurance tariff. Depending on the contract, private supplementary insurance often covers a larger portion. It is best to clarify the exact reimbursement amount directly with your insurer.
Preventive check-up
The annual preventive check-up is free of charge for you — it is billed directly to the health insurer.
Prescriptions & referrals
Private prescriptions are accepted by pharmacies just like public-insurance prescriptions. Referrals — for example to radiology institutes, other specialists or laboratories — are likewise accepted. I also issue public-insurance prescriptions as part of the treatment.
Cancellations
Please cancel appointments you cannot attend at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise the appointment may be charged.
