About me
Dr. Alexandra Stössl
Physician for general medicine with a focus on orthomolecular, nutritional, preventive and sports medicine as well as aesthetic medicine. Born in Vienna in 1979, mother of three.
After my medical studies at the University of Vienna (1997–2003), I completed my training as a general practitioner at the Wilhelminenspital in Vienna.
My approach
Alongside conventional medicine, I was drawn early on to one question above all: how can health be maintained over the long term and quality of life sustainably improved? This passion led me to orthomolecular medicine, nutritional medicine and preventive medicine, which today form an important focus of my medical work.
Since 2021 I have run my own private practice in Vienna, with a focus on general medicine, orthomolecular medicine, sports medicine and aesthetic medicine.
My aim is to combine modern medicine with prevention, micronutrient medicine and a holistic view of health. Throughout, the individual needs, goals and circumstances of my patients are always at the centre.
Sport as part of my life
Exercise and sport have been part of my life for many years and are an important part of who I am. As an active HYROX athlete, I have experienced first-hand how important training, recovery, nutrition and an optimal micronutrient supply are for health and performance.
Competing in national and international HYROX events, up to the HYROX World Championships, has given me valuable insight into the challenges faced by ambitious athletes.
These personal experiences complement my medical work and help me understand the concerns of athletically active patients not only professionally but also from my own experience.
